These terms are the agreement between you and the operator of jocuriclasice when you use the app. By installing or using it you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

Who you are dealing with

jocuriclasice is operated by Darius Chira, an individual developer based in Romania, reachable at chira.mircea.darius@gmail.com.

What the app is

jocuriclasice is a free entertainment app. It offers simulated card and board games — whichever ones the app's game list shows you at the time, a list we add to and may change — played against computer opponents or against other people online. Cards are dealt, and dice rolled, by a random number generator inside the app or on our server; nothing about a hand or a roll is negotiable, purchasable or reversible.

The app is for fun. It is not a training tool, a professional service, or a source of advice of any kind.

Automated players

Some seats in a lobby, table or tournament may be filled by an automated player instead of a person — for example, if not enough people are online to start right away. Automated players are designed to play at a believable, human-like standard, and we do not label them individually inside a match; meeting one is simply something that can happen when you play online, the same as it can in most online games.

Automated players are not accounts and are not people. They earn no rewards and are excluded from leaderboards, achievements, rankings and streaks, and they take no part in chat, direct messages, friend requests or reports — nothing attributed to a real account ever came from one. We expect to rely on this less as more people are online at the same time, and may reduce or remove it as the player base grows. Nothing in this section is a promise about when, or whether, that happens.

Because an automated player is not someone you can be ranked against, a match that includes one counts as a match played — you still earn experience towards your level for it — but it does not count towards your wins, your points total or any leaderboard. This applies to everyone at the table, whatever the result, and it applies whether the seat was filled at the start or taken over later because a player stopped playing.

No real money, ever

This is the part we will not blur:

• There is no real-money play in jocuriclasice. No fee, buy-in or deposit is ever payable in money, and there is no way to risk money on a hand.
• Some tables do cost seeds (semințe) to enter: the Arena, and a championship. Seeds are an in-game score and nothing else. You can only get them by playing — they are never sold, and there is no way to buy them, in the app or anywhere else. They cannot be given away, transferred between accounts, sold, cashed out or exchanged for money or for anything of monetary value. Part of every Arena entry is destroyed rather than paid to anybody, so the seeds at a table are always worth less than the seats cost. A guest account holds none, and every free way to play stays free: offline, online, with friends and the daily hand cost nothing to enter, so a balance at zero is never a locked door.
• Points, scores, rankings, achievements, frames, seeds and any other in-game item have no monetary value. They cannot be sold, transferred, exchanged, cashed out or redeemed for money or for anything else of monetary value, by us or by anyone else.
• Championships, tournaments and leaderboards award standing, bragging rights and seeds. Prizes of monetary value are never offered — not as cash, not as vouchers, not as goods — and seeds are not one of them: they have no monetary value and can never be turned into one.
• Attempting to trade accounts, results or in-game items for money outside the app breaks these terms and can get the accounts involved closed.

Who may use it

The app is not directed at young children. It asks for your age band the first time it runs, and 16 — the age of digital consent in Romania — is where that band divides. Whichever you answer, the whole game stays available to you, online play included: answering that you are under 16 changes what you can consent to, not what you can play, and the "Children" section of the privacy policy says what it switches off. If the law where you live sets a higher age for consenting to an online service without a parent's permission, that age applies to you instead. You may hold one account; keep your credentials to yourself and tell us if you think someone else is using them.

How you may use it

While using jocuriclasice you agree not to:

• cheat, exploit bugs, or use bots, scripts, modified clients or any other automation to influence a match (this is about automation on your side — it does not apply to the automated players we add to the platform, described above);
• interfere with the servers, other players' sessions, or the fairness of the game in any way;
• harass, threaten or abuse other players, or send unlawful, hateful or sexually explicit content in chat, in messages or in a display name;
• impersonate anybody, including us;
• copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app except where the law expressly allows it, or where the source is published under its own open licence;
• collect other players' data, or use the service for advertising or spamming.

Reports of prohibited behaviour are reviewed, and we tell the reporter what came of the report.

Advertising

The app may show advertising, and where it does, two things are always true: you are asked first, and nothing you are shown is a condition of playing. Anything an advertisement offers inside the game is a boost to what you earn for a hand — never seeds, never a place in a table's result, and never anything another player is competing for. What is running today, and what consent it is gated behind, is described in the cookie policy.

Your content

Messages, display names and anything else you submit stay yours. You give us permission to store and show them where the app needs to — to your opponents, in the room you are in — and nowhere else. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law, and we will say why when we do.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account from your profile; deletion is described in the privacy policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that harms other players, or that we are legally required to act on. Where it is proportionate we warn first. If an account is closed, in-game progress is lost, seeds included — see "no real money" above: none of it has monetary value, and nothing about it is refundable, because nothing about it was ever bought.

We may also change the app, add or remove features, or stop operating the service entirely. We will give reasonable notice in the app before shutting it down.

Availability

The app is provided as it is, with no promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. Online play needs a network connection you provide and pay for. Maintenance, updates and outages happen. See the disclaimer.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, lost progress, or for damage caused by your own use of the app, by a third-party service, or by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. That expressly includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and any liability under Article 82 GDPR. If you are a consumer in the European Union, your mandatory consumer rights under the law of the country where you live apply on top of these terms and are not affected by them.

Applicable law and disputes

Romanian law governs these terms. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim before the courts there. Before going to court, please write to us — most problems are solved by email. Consumers in Romania may also contact the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC).

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top says when they last changed. Material changes are announced in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new version.
